About Me

I've been interested in everything programming based since the age of 15, and more importantly web design & development since 17. This website will showcase anything and everything I've done that's worth showcasing.

I don't really know what else to write here so if you have any questions about anything, shoot me an email or a tweet using the information below.

FAQs

What happened to the old website?

I still own Stewie's Shed for now, but I have no idea what to use it for. STEW.IE is a much cooler domain so everything I do will be over here. As for my old blogs and such, I'm fairly certain I lost the databases so unless I can find a backup in the millions of gigabytes of data I have dotted around various cloud storage services or hard drives that are lying around, they won't be making a come back. If I get some spare time and motivation the blog page itself might make a return, but it will more than likely be completely static because I hate trying to implement an existing theme into wordpress or anchor etc.

I found a bug on your website!

To be honest, I probably already know about it, I'm just too lazy to fix it. Tweet @ me, tell me to pull my finger out, and I'll get it fixed 👍.

What kit do I use for photography?

In November 2014 I purchased my first DLSR, a Nikon D3300 with an 18-55mm lens. Since that time, I've splashed out on a whole bunch of additional lenses, including:

I used to mainly use the 18-55mm kit lens that came with the camera, but my most recent purchase was the 18-105mm which will more likely replace it as it has a larger zoom ratio whilst maintaining the same sized aperture. I use the 55-300mm for most of my sports / nature shots as I'm generally unable to get up close and personal with my subject. The 35mm and 50mm are great for walking around, portraits, and general low light shots.

Can I get a full resolution verson of image 'x'?

Sure! I currently pay very little for this webserver so I've resized all the images down and compressed them into jpegs to keep bandwidth usage to a minimum. If you shoot me an email / tweet and include a link to the photo(s) you require, I'll be more than happy to send you a 6000x4000 version of it in the format of your choice.

The legal bit

I'm not a professional photographer, nor am I a graduate of a high class swanky law school, I'm just a guy with a camera. With that being said my photographs belong to me and are therefore protected by copyright. If you would like to use a photograph from this website, my policy is this:
